What to expect the first time you sit

The first visit starts on the book. You choose the shop, the service, and a chair. The notes are read before the cape.

The visit starts on the book, before anyone sweeps a cape around you. You pick the shop, the floor or the van. You pick the service. You pick a barber, or you take the first open chair. The book is Square. The phone number you leave is how the visit is matched to you, so the reminder and the chair land on the same person.

Show a photo if you have one, and say what you do not want from it. The notes are read before the cape goes on. Length on top, how high the fade sits, whether the beard is in the job or left alone: those sentences save the first five minutes, which otherwise get spent translating a shrug. If you only say the usual and we have never met, you will get a question, not a guess. Usual is a memory. We do not have it yet.

Variable prices are not a blank. Design is one of them. The chair sets the number after seeing the work, because the work is not the same from head to head. The site will not pretend that is zero. If you need a flat service, book the flat service. If you want something drawn, built, or outside the menu, say so in the notes and expect the price to be named when the hair is in front of us, not hidden in a cart.

You can pay when you book or pay when you sit. The appointment is real either way. A prepaid visit is marked, so the floor does not ask for the service a second time. A tip can still be added if you want to add one. Skipping the card is not a second-class booking. It means you settle at the chair, through the same Square wallets, when the cut is done.

What we will ask is short. How much length on top. Where the fade or the taper should stop. Beard on, beard off, or beard untouched. Anything we should not chase: a scar, a patch, a mole, a cowlick you have already made peace with. If you are growing the hair out, say outline only before the clippers start their usual tour. We can do less. We cannot put hair back.

Arrive with hair we can read. A hat full of wax hides the growth pattern, and the first minutes become a hunt for your actual hair. Rinsed, or only lightly dressed, is enough. You do not need to style it for us. Dry is more honest than soaking if you have a cowlick, because water lies about the crown. If you just worked out, a rinse is plenty. We are not grading the arrival. We are trying to see the head.

The two shops are booked apart. A floor appointment is not a van appointment with a different backdrop. If you meant the Miami room and booked the mobile chair, or the reverse, the day will not sort itself in the parking lot. Check the shop name on the confirmation. If the book and the door do not match, the shop line is (305) 385-0306. Call before you are standing at the wrong place with a cape time that belongs somewhere else.

Reviews follow the chair that cut you. The floor and the van have two Google profiles. A cut at the atelier belongs on the floor's listing. A cut in the van belongs on the mobile listing. Mixing them does not punish anyone in a way you can see. It just puts the record on the wrong door. If you have nothing to say, you do not owe a review. If you do, put it where the work happened.

Late is a clock problem, not a character problem. The book may still seat you, and it may have to shorten what we can finish before the next person. Say so when you know. A child who needs to stop is a reason to stop. A design you add in the chair, after booking a quick cut, moves the person after you. The first visit goes better when the service on the screen is the service on the head.

You should hear a limit before the clippers commit, if your hair will not do the photo. Density, a cowlick, a hairline, a curl that expands when it dries: we will say which part of the picture we can chase and which part we will not pretend. That is the visit. You leave with a shape you described, or with a clear no and a shape that actually fits. Both are better than a silent guess you only notice in the car.
